MySalahMat Meets iTreatSkin
My Salat Mat gained media entrance to the Muslim Lifestyle Show where we interviewed Razna Rani, the CEO of itreatSkin.
Razna explained that her problems deal with problem skin such as acne, dermatitis and eczema. The idea for the company started when Razna struggled to find products to treat her young son’s eczema. She found that mainstream products made the problem worse, and so she turned to natural products, which led to the production of a cream (Neem Cream). Razna described how she was awake at night with her young son with him scratching his irritated skin, and how much she wanted to help him. She was working in a laboratory at the time and sought the help of colleagues to utilise a natural Asian herb called neem to produce a cream. She also did an aromatherapy course purely with the intention of helping her son.
It wasn’t easy, but with the support of her husband, and by taking small steps, they managed to develop the company. There was a huge demand from family and friends straight away, and they have also now found an investor and have re-branded their products. The company has been accredited by the Vegan Association and they have been given dermatological testing approval for their products to ensure their safety.
The company has faced many hurdles, but the positive feedback from their customers, including those who have often suffered for years and children, has spurred them on. itreatSkin’s Neem cream is 100% natural and can be used to treat a wide range of skin conditions; Razna added that a lot of people have called it “magic in a pot.”
