A Heartfelt Visit to Kidcare4u in Newport, Wales
I am truly humbled and overwhelmed by the warm welcome I received from the incredible staff, volunteers, and students at Kidcare4u. Masha’Allah, the kindness and appreciation shown by everyone, especially Rusna Begum, deeply touched me. It’s moments like these that remind me of the power of community and the importance of supporting one another, particularly when it comes to children and families who need it most.
My visit to Kidcare4u was a wonderful experience that left me feeling inspired and hopeful. I had the privilege of spending time with some of the younger children, and I was absolutely blown away by their enthusiasm and creativity. We chatted about their fantastic ideas for new inventions—some truly brilliant concepts came from such young minds! It’s a reminder that children, when given the right environment, can dream big and think outside the box. Their potential is limitless, and being part of their imaginative conversations filled me with joy.
During my time with the children, I also shared a bit about my own journey. I spoke about my days at Pill Primary and Duffryn High School and how those early years shaped who I am today. From there, I went on to university, and now I’m fortunate enough to be an entrepreneur. Sharing my story with the children was an absolute joy, and I hope it showed them that no matter where you start, with hard work and determination, anything is possible. I could see in their eyes that they too have dreams and ambitions, and with the right support, they will surely go far.
What makes Kidcare4u so special is the vital work they are doing within the community. This remarkable organisation is dedicated to helping refugees and vulnerable migrant families settle into life in the UK. It’s not an easy transition, but with the help of Kidcare4u, these families are given the support they need to not just survive but thrive. From early years education to mentoring and family support, Kidcare4u creates a safe, nurturing environment where children can learn and grow, and families can find their feet in a new country.
To Rusna Begum and everyone at Kidcare4u, I want to say thank you. The work you are doing is honourable and truly inspiring. You are making a difference in the lives of so many families, providing opportunities that many would not otherwise have. The children in your care are lucky to have such dedicated people looking out for them, and I know they will carry the lessons they learn at Kidcare4u with them for the rest of their lives.
Your commitment to creating a brighter future for these families is something we can all look up to. Thank you again for the warm reception and for everything you do. Masha’Allah, may you continue to grow and flourish as you support those who need it most.
