Message from our founder, Kamal Ali

Last night reminded me just how beautiful and powerful community can be.

I had the honour of attending Kidcare4u’s Annual Iftar with my family — and subhanAllah, it filled my heart. From the atmosphere to the people, and especially the youth, everything about the evening spoke of unity, service, and purpose.

Young People Leading with Confidence

One of the most striking things about the event was how central the youth were to its success. They weren’t just present — they were leading.

From welcoming guests to serving food, they were involved in every detail of the evening. And when Maghrib arrived, I had the privilege of praying behind a young brother who led Salah with such confidence, clarity, and calmness. It was a moment that genuinely moved me.

These are the moments that remind us why it’s so important to invest in our young people. Whether it's through public speaking, leading prayer, or simply giving them a platform to grow — they are our future, and we must nurture their confidence and faith.

The Importance of Showing Up

Events like this are easy to skip. Life is busy, schedules are full — I completely understand. But when you do make time, you’re reminded of something truly special: the warmth of community, the power of shared moments, and the joy of reconnecting with familiar faces.

Last night, I met people I hadn’t seen in years. Just exchanging salaams and catching up reminded me of how much we need these moments. They ground us. They reconnect us. They uplift us.

Behind the Scenes: True Dedication

Of course, none of this would’ve been possible without Rusna Begum and her dedicated team at Kidcare4u.

The set-up was beautiful, the atmosphere was full of heart — and the food? 10/10. I later found out that Rusna cooked some of it herself, all while organising an iftar for over 150 people. MashaAllah, her dedication is incredible.

To top it off, her husband prepared and served homemade karak chai — the perfect way to end a wonderful evening.

A Du’a and a Thank You

May Allah ﷻ bless Rusna, her family, the entire Kidcare4u team, and especially the youth who made the event so memorable. Their sincerity, service, and smiles made this gathering truly unforgettable.

This is what community looks like — serving for the sake of Allah, creating spaces for youth to shine, and coming together not just to eat, but to grow in faith, friendship, and love.

Let’s keep showing up for each other. Let’s keep building spaces like this.

With gratitude,
Kamal Ali
